Title:
Alaska—Washington Airways Flight Drop—Off
Date:
1931
Description:
Black and white photograph of six people and a float plane (sea plane). The photograph is taken from above and from the plane's left side. Partially visible text on the aircraft's body identifies it as a part of the Alaska—Washington Airways fleet. The legs of one person (man) are visible standing on the plane's left pontoon behind the wing which is hiding the rest of the person's body. There is a group of four people, two men and two woman, in front of the plane's propeller/nose. They are either getting off or have already gotten off the plane. Both women are still on the pontoons, one on each. The men appear to be helping the women. What the men are standing on is not visible. The sixth person is a man standing on the plane's left pontoon. He is located next to the plane directly behind the propeller and under the cabin's front windows. Water in background.

Verso has a stamped number "38" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink.
The caption accompanying the photograph says that the aircraft and crew is dropping a passenger off on a boat she missed in 1931.
