Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency" and front logo for Perfect Photo, Inc.). The frame is labeled "Glacier Bay 8—18—68" in handwriting. The image shows a wide body of water in the center, flanked by shores at the foreground and background. In the foreground, there is a wide dirt beach leading to the water's edge, with trees at left. Beyond the trees at left, there is a small, short dirt or sand jetty with short wood frame structures built upon it. The Grumman Goose aircraft is on the water at the center, traveling toward the beach at the near shore. Across the water, the far shore is mountainous. The number "5" is printed in ink on the frame at the lower right, and the text "AUG68" is etched on the lower edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
