Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency" and front logo for Perfect Photo, Inc.). The frame is labeled "Wachusetts Bay[sic] in Glacier Bay 8—18—68" in handwriting. The image shows a wide body of water stretching from the foreground to the middling area, where it meets with a far shore, presumably Wachusett Inlet. The shore is mountainous, with no discernable beach at the meeting with the water's edge. The mountains form a wall with several snowcapped peaks. At extreme left near the shore, there is a small sliver of an ice sheet floating at the surface of the water. The number "10" is printed in ink on the frame at the lower right, and the text "AUG68" is etched on the lower edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
