Yellowish photo of part of Treadwell Mine complex. Taken from channel, showing shoreline and water. Main building in center (Treadwell Club) and row of ten or so houses above it, as well as six or so buildings to right. Back has one—cent stamp, 1909 postmark and address.

Notes:
Donor's father—in—law Adolph Burk (or Burke), hard rock miner, lived in company owned housing in Treadwell. He & his family moved to Bainbridge Island, Wa before mine cave—in (1917). Postcard was sent to donor's husband, Benney, when he was a child.
