Black and white photograph of the effects of the landslide that occurred November 1936 in Juneau. The photo appears to have been taken from above, looking down at the scene. Seen in the photo are two trucks parked near the edge of the rubble brought by the landslide. People are seen surveying and assessing the damage. There is one man climbing the telephone pole on the proper left. A large mound of dirt is seen on the proper right. On the proper left, these businesses can be identified (starting closest to the camera): Alstrom Newspapers, Handy Andy Cabinet, Alt Hedielberg Lager Beer, Snow White Laundry, and Juneau Cold Storage.
