A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1956 Reckless driving float — could this be you" in handwriting. The image shows an aerial view of a small portion of a float, on which there is a tiny makeshift car model, in which a child sits. Spectators crowd around the rear to view the float. In the background, the environs of the street are visible, with trees and houses in the distance. The number "14" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
