Black and white postcard. Front has an image of a copy of check used by the United States to purchase Alaska from Russia. The check is numbered 9759 and is for $7,200,000. It is a "Treasury Warrant" from the "Treasury of the United States". There are classical illustrations in both the upper proper left corner and along the proper right edge. Below the image of the check is a black section with white handwritten text reading: Courtesy Alaska Territorial Museum. Photo BY ORDWAY \ JUNEAU ALASKA. \ Copy of Check Issued by The United States Government To Russia In Payment for the Territory of Alaska".
Verso has a the text "POST CARD \ CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS" stamped in black ink along the upper edge.
