Yellow paper envelope with blue ink printed symbols on proper right: "First Day of Issue"; "SEVEN—CENT Airmail Stamp honoring Alaska's official admission to Statehood Saturday, January 3, 1959"; and "1867 —1959". Also on lower proper right: "TOTEM PRESS CACHET — JUNEAU". An Alaska state flag is printed on the envelope. It has one cancelled 7 cent Air Mail stamps in upper proper left corner. Cancellation stamp in black ink reads: "JUNEAU JAN 3 9 AM 1959 ALASKA".
