Documents relating to the support of prisoners, Sitka and Juneau, October—December 1902.
"The Unites States, to James M. Shoup, U.S. Marshal, Jailer at Stika, Alaska, for Support of U.S. prisoners for the quarter ending December 31st, 1902, at Sixty cents per day." Informational columns included on form are: Name of prisoners, offenses committed, by whom committed, term of sentence, date of sentence, date of original commitement, period charged for (from and to), number of meals, number of days, total, and how released. Total amount equalled $2662.20 for the one hundred twenty (120) prisoners are listed. Page count six. Attached in upper proper right corner with metal brad.
"The Unites States, to J.W. Doran Druggist, at Juneau First Division District of Alaska for Medicines furnished, U.S. Prisoners from Oct 1, 1902 to Dec 31, 1902." Informational columns on form include prescription number, name of prisoners, offense, disease, contracted while in confinement, date, and medicine or prescription, among others. One hundred thirty—one (131) cases are listed. Page count seven. Attached in upper proper right corner with metal brad.
