One (1) envelope addressed to Mr C.C. Cage, Juneau, Alaska dated July 4, 1907 at 10 — AM. The envelope has been torn off on the proper left side.

One (1) application stamped with approval by the District Court in the Disctrict of Alaska, Division No. 1. The application was for a "Bar—Room License to deal in / Intoxicating Liquors" petitioned by a Timothy Vogel to the Honorable Royal A. Gunnison. The reverse states that the petition was "FILED / Jun 30 1908"

One (1) document signed by 17 individuals certifying no objections to the granting of a liquor license to Timothy Vogel. Dated June 28, 1907

One (1) 2—page indictment charged against Timothy Vogel, filed by the Grand Jury of the District Court for the District of Alaska, charging him with the "conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, to—wit, selling liquor to Indians" The document was signed twice by the Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Alaska, Wm. A. Barnhill. Attached is one (1) document stated as a protest against Timothy Vogel's petition for a bar—room license. This was filed September 18, 1907.

One (1) typed and signed tesitmony in favor of Timothy Vogel's peition for a bar—room license stating that "he has conducted his place in an orderly manner" by a R.M. Odell on September 21, 1907. Attached is a one—page document stating the testimony having been filed September 26, 1907.

Two (2) typed and signed testimonies certifying Timothy Vogel's having conducted his saloon "in an orderly manner." The first testimony is signed by Tom Valeur, the second is by Frances Valeur. Both were subscribed and sworn to before the Notary public in and for Alaska on September 21, 1907. Attached is a one—page document stating the testimonies having been filed on September 26, 1907.

One (1) correspondence addressed to Timothy Vogel from C. C. Page, Clerk. The message is dated June 30, 1908 and is awarding of license certificates 1604, 1605, and 1606 to Timothy Vogel.

One (1) 4—page correspondence addressed to a "Sir" from an anonymous writer. The letter contains information about the alleged illegal activities of Timothy Vogel, urging a thorough investigation. This letter is addressed June 18, 1907.
