Inside front cover, proper right "#Q547" stamped with blue ink. Small label titled "J.R. WHIPPEL MEMORIAL LIBRARY / THANE, ALASKA" stamped, purple ink. Inside spine top to bottom cloth "H. PARMELEE'S LIBRARY BINDING" (also on inside back cover). Red ribbon book mark attached at top. Book title: "ELECTRICTY: THE SCIENCE OF THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. A SKETCH FOR GENERAL READERS, BY E.M. J. R. Whipple was married to Bart Thane's sister. Bart was developer of the Alaska Gastineau Gold Mine. Settlement & mine camp were named after him.
Found in old house on Thane Road. Property of Max Lewis (deceased). Also lived in by Stearns family CA 1935—40's.
