Large paper poster. Red boarder, white background. At center there is a black and white photograph of five men standing behind a ship's door/hatch. All five men are wearing dark colored jackets and dark colored hat with the text "U.S. Navy" on them. Above the men, on the white background, are five blue stars. Below the photograph, on the white background, is black text reading: "the five Sullivan brothers \ missing in action off the Solomons". White text in the bottom red boarder reads: "THEY DID THEIR PART". The "THEY" is underlined once. Small black text along the bottom edge reads: "OWI Poster No. 42. Additional copies may be obtained upon request from the Division of Public Inquires, Office of War Information, Washington D.C. * U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE 1943 — O — 510254". Verso is blank.
