Used yellow check with blank printing from Alaska Coast Fisheries (with image of a totem pole) issued by First National Bank of Juneau, made out to the Unemployment Compensation Commission for $165.00 July 31, 1939. Signed by Harris L. George (?) manager. Stamped on reverse, "Pay to the Order of Territorial Treasurer Unemployment Compensation Commission of Alaska Walter P. Sharpe Director Pay to the order of any bank or banker Oscar G. Olson territorial treasurer Juneau Alaska." Perforated with holes indicating it was paid.

Found in a group of checks in gift shop by donor Marie Darlin, who believed it was historically significant because it dealt with unemployment compensation.
