Scope & Content:
Blue and white embossed Fraternal Order of Eagles dues receipt. Border has "F.O.E." banners in each corner. A white box outlined in upper proper right side contains image of eagle overlayed by image of head — bust of older woman enclosed in circle. "For Home For Country and For God" printed along upper edge of circle. "Ladies / Auxilary" printed in shadow front of proper right side of woman's image. "Fraternal / Order of / Eagles" printed in proper left side. In smaller box located in upper proper left corner is printed "OFFICIAL / RECEIPT / NO 1176"
"DOUGLAS AERIE / NO. 117 / DOUGLAS, ALASKA 10/28 19342 / RECEIVED OF Ch…C…Fleek / DUES TO DEC 1 1942 $3.00 / OTHER PAYMENT / $3.00 / (SEAL) / secretary" printed in lower half of receipt. Receipt is embossed in lower proper right corner. White signature box located along proper right side, near perforated edge of slip.
