Scope & Content:
Card is World War II permit to travel within and from Alaska. Outline of Alaska in red overlays card and delineates Zones A, B & C. Card identifies holder as Anna Webster, occupation "None (Retired Bookkeeper)", issued 3—9—44 & No. 908679 (in blue). Card has illegible embossed stamp. Reverse has two boxes, right index fingerprint on left, black and white identification photo, fastened with three staples on right and signature of Anna Webster below. Four vertical lines on left have identifying information typed in: age 74, date of birth January 29, 1870, height 5 feet 1.5 inches, medium complexion, gray hair, weight 135 lbs., blue eyes, medium build, female white American.
Inscription: "PERMIT TO ENTER, TRAVEL WITHIN AND DEPART ZONE A OF THE TERRITORY OF ALASKA".
