Certificate printed in black on stiff, off—white paper, with decorative border and specifics stamped or typewritten in blank fields. Circular seal embossed in lower proper right quadrant. Certificate reads: "This Certificate authorizes Thomas Floyd Dryden to teach in the elementary schools of this state from and after this date, when it has been registered as provided by the Code of Public Instruction. Granted upon Lewiston Normal Diploma. Grade in State Manual...98." Signed by N.D. Showalter, Superintendent of Public Instruction, in Olympia, WA on August 17, 1931. One horizontal crease across certificate from prior folding. Written on verso at top: "Registered for use in Asotin County, May 13, 1931." Signed by Vera Campbell, County Supt. of Schools.
