Scope & Content:
A — 3.5625 inch by 5. 5625 inch card embossed on very thick beige paper in center in black with/ senders' name printed in shaded black Gothic print below, inside embossed rectangle. To left holly—trimmed red candle in gold candlestick projects across red—framed image of green leafless trees, moon, red wisps of clouds, snow bank and gold background. Short frame directly above continues scene of trees and gold background card has gold border.
B — 3. 5 inch by 5.9375 inch envelope addressed to "Mrs. Minnie Hurley / Juneau, Alaska" in very large script with finials in dark gray ink. Red two cent Washington stamp is postmarked Dec. 16, 1926, Seattle. Envelope partially lined with green, gray and gold tissue of abstract design.
Inscription: "With Sincere Greetings / For Christmas and for / the Coming Year"
"Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ewing"
