Scope & Content:
A—B — Two part cardboard box containing eight glass slides for stereopticon projection. Box is composed of four—sided outer shell and 12. 5 inch length of cardboard, which is wrapped around stacked slides and forms ends of entire box, wax(?) paper, packing tape covers much of box.
C—J — Slides, labeled, are 3.25 inch by 4.0 inch by 0.125 inch Constructed of two plates of glass, one plate painted with photo positive image, text and hand painted. Second plates placed on top for protection. Sandwiched between two glass plates is orange 0. 5 inch border, of which only 0. 25 inch is visible, creating rounded edges enclosing text and image. Adhesive backed brown paper, tape binds two glass plates creating 0. 25 inch border around entire rectangle and on both sides.
