Scope & Content:
Sons of Norway charter, framed and glazed with narrow window mat. Charter has image of Viking like boat and cliffs at top with the words "CHARTER/RETTIGHEDSBREV/SONNER AF NORGE" Charter is written in Norwegian, features a seal with a star and leaves and an abstract foliate border around the document. Logo at top suggests the international organization was founded in 1895. The lodge is the Svalbard Lodge No. 33. Original members names are handwritten on the charter.
