The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) is an altruistic fraternal organization derived from the similar English Oddfellows service organizations which came into being during the 1700s.
Betty Miller got the bible from Sue Kennedy . Sue was an old and long time member of the IOOF. Sue lived in Juneau for many years. When she left Juneau she was in her 90s. She left Juneau in the late 1990s and gave the bible to Betty at that time.
