First the tour crosses tumbling Gold Creek, the founders' monument, still carrying sand containing gold down to the sea.The visitor may then view Juneau's small boat harbor, accommodating 400 small boats and several seaplanes. The tour then starts on Glacier Highway, rich in scenery, from which can be had a glimpse of Lemon Creek Glacier snuggled beneath the mountain peaks. Beautiful Auke Lake and Mendenhall Glacier with its awe—inspiring beauty can be viewed at close range, and is excellent photographic material.
Leaving the Glacier, the tour will continue to Auke Lake, making a stop for the convenience of camera fans. Arriving back in town, the tour passes the Governor's Mansion and stops at the Territorial Museum in the Federal Building, where the visitor may browse around. The city also has many curio shops which contain many items of interest."
