Black plastic cassette (TDK) with clear plastic stripe through middle of tape. There is long skinny white paper label with black stripe at top on each side of tape near bottom. Container of clear plastic with hinge which contains paper label with "AFF History Side A and B tape 1" written on it.

The 1st festival began in 1974 w/handful of musicians & volunteers, which has grown into the Alaska Folk Festival w/hundreds of performers. First few festivals were given at the State Museum. See 1994 booklet in Documentation file. These history tapes were also transcribed onto paper.
