Text above the score card boxes reads: "Score Card Thane Golf Links Thane Alaska." Text below the score card boxes reads: "Compliments Alaska Electric Light and Power".

Golf was played north of the mouth of Sheep Creek in front of the town of Thane. It could only be played at low tide as the "green" was covered at high tide. It was known as the "Million Dollar Golf Course" as the tailings from the Gastineau Mine were dumped there.
