Description:
Model birch bark canoe.
The hull of the canoe is formed from a single piece of all the way to the stern post. It has a single hole in the deck that extends about half of the length. The gunnels are two thin strips of wood with the deck bark held in place between them. Small metal nails hold the deck and hull together. Both the front and rear ends are lashed together with spruce root.
