Medium Platinum Crucible
A: Crucible — Platinum
Short hollow metal column. Has spout on one side. Fits inside Crucible holder bottom.
B: Crucible holder (bottom)
Round wooden column. With solid base, but no top. From top down about two—thirds of the center is hollowed out. A small notch is on one side for spout of crucible On bottom says: USBM / 20579 (carved into wood and covered in red color).
C: Crucible holder (top)
Round wooden top for crucible holder bottom. Top is wider then bottom. Fits into crucible holder bottom.

Notes:
Platinum is used for high temperature chemical analysis because it is a noble metal and won't react with many compounds that you might want to test.
