Notes:
This Stroller Pack is designed specifically for the Juneau climate and environment. It is designed to work as a stroller when needed, but can be picked up and carried like a backpack when terrain warrants it. It came equipped with a full enclosure to keep rain off of the child inside, a design element made essential by the copious rainfall of southeast Alaska.

John Ingalls made a first prototype about 1970, when he was working as a geologist in northern Canada. Then in 1983 he designed a second prototype. He built 8 in a shop in Port Townsend. John and Sam Skaggs set up a factory here in Juneau in the basement of the AEL&P building at the corner of 2nd and Franklin Streets. They incorporated about 1985. They ran the company for 4—5 years. They did the manufacturing here in town.

Eventually they sold the company to someone in Portland who tried to outsource manufacture of the frame to Kelty. But on the first order from Kelty 80% of the product were rejects. The company was later sold to "Cool Stop" a bike brake manufacturer and the operation was moved to Taiwan. Much or their product was sold to LL Bean and REI.

The frame tube that holds the top cover in place was missing when it was donated. Curator of Collections, Addison Field, contacted John Ingalls and had him fabricate a replacement part from original materials using the original tube bender.
