Description:
Wood Engraving Block
The one—sided block has a man in native dress seemingly fighting or contributing a whirl of water. His cape flows away from his body while a thick flow of water spouts from his funnel shaped hat. Several fish are depicted in the stream which shoots out of the hat. Water droplets fill in most of the empty space. In this block, most of the background is stained a dark black on a light wood base. On the bottom side, the title 'The Great Flood' is written in black ink. The artist, Dale DeArmond, also signed her name on the same edge.
