Gold Chloride Standard — POISONOUS
Small brown glass bottle. White and blue label on front says "Gold Chloride, Purified / LOT NO. 61250 Wt. 1/8 oz. / J.T. Baker Chemical Co., Phillipsburg N.J. / Made in U.S.A." Has a black lid with a brown stain on top. On the bottom of the bottle it says "81—04 /6 10 5 / H." Bottle is empty, but there are some crystals on one side of the bottle.

Notes:
The standard reacts a certain way when it is put to a certain test. The geologist can then do the same test on a sample, and that will help them determine the properties of the sample.

Used for testing the properties of gold taken from a sample, used in chemical analysis and ore beneficiation testing.
