Description:
One pair, handmade, soft leather mocassins. Made for a child or a doll. Leather is lined with pink fabric. Stitching is done mainly with black thread, but also green and red thread around toe. Mocassins are attached by thread connecting them at the heel/ankle.
Notes:
Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
