Description:
White, circular pinback button with red, white and blue striped ribbon extending from bottom edge. Button face reads: "JUNEAU / PREPAREDNESSS / PARADE / 1916". Both "Juneau" and "1916" are in red text, while "Preparedness Parade" is in blue text. Verso of button has piece of paper with black ink located within the concave of button back. Paper reads "BADGES, BANNERS / LAPEL / BUTTONS / WALTER N. / BRUNT / 880 MISSION ST. / SAN FRANCISCO, CAL. U.S.A. / PRINTING". Ribbon consists of a red stripe to the far proper right, a white stripe in the middle and a blue stripe to the far proper left.
Notes:
Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
