Description:
Round, flat token, silver in color. Rope—like decoration around outer edge on both sides. One side reads: "OPERA HOUSE / BEER / HALL / JUNEAU / ALASKA". There is one star on either side of "HALL". The other side reads: "GOOD FOR / 12 1/2 / CENTS / IN TRADE".
Notes:
Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
