Description:
1912 calendar plate has white background with scalloped edge trimmed in gold. "Art Deco" designs in green (2 shades), red orange and yellow surround calendar pages. Centered at bottom of plate in gold lettering are words: "COMPLIMENTS OF / B.M. BEHRENDS CO. / JUNEAU, ALASKA". In center of plate is transfer screen composed of woman in 1880s period clothing, standing on rocks in middle of stream fly fishing. Dressed in red cap, white blouse with red tie and brown boots and skirt. She's holding a fly rod and has creel resting on her hip. Printed on back in red is: "CARNATION / MCNICOL."

Behrends Store was on 3rd and Seward in the Behrends Bldg.. They sold groceries, clothes and shoes at that time. Later they sold only clothes after selling shoe department to Ralph Warren who moved it to 200 Seward St. He sold to Stan Hudson and changed the name to "Hudson Shoe Store"
