1951 Soap Box Derby Award Banquet Plate from Akron Ohio.
Ceramic plate, white with a design in olive green. Design at center shows the finish line for the "All American Soap Box Derby." Border of the plate has a different design at each of the cardinal directions, at top it says: "AKRON, OHIO RUBBER CAPITAL, and has the image of a automobile tire. At the 3 o'clock position there is am image of a building with the words: "AKRON UNIVERSITY," in a banner beneath. At the 6 o'clock position is the image of a stadium with the words: "THE RUBBER BOWL." At the 9 o'clock position is the image of a lake with a beach and powerboat and the words: "PORTAGE LAKES."

On the reverse is printed in green the following: "Made Exclusively For / THE M. O'NEIL CO. Akron's / Greatest Store / KETTLESPRINGS KILNS, R.D.2 / ALLIANCE, OHIO."
