Description:
Medical headlamp
The object is a head lamp with a black leather band that is adjustable. This band is designed to fit around a wearer's head. Riveted to the front of the head band, on a metal plate is a swivel that attaches to metal lamp shade. Within the shade is a light bulb. Coming out of the back of the lamp and lampshade assembly is a black power cord. The power cord runs through two loops which are riveted to the headband. There is a snap on each of the loops. Approximately half way down the power cord is a switch. At the end of the power cord is a two pronged power plug. The plug is capped with a piece of cardboard.
Notes:
The donor was a nurse at the Gastineau Channel Elementary School in Douglas. This type of headlight would have been used for medical purposes.
