Description:
Brass or brass plated crimpers. A two piece/ bi—handled tool which is connected by a screw. Used by blasters to cut, fuse, and crimp the blasting cap in place. The inside slot is used to cut the fuse. The outside slot is used to crimp the cap to the fuse.
Notes:
Addison Field, the then curator of collections, received material from Caroline Cave and Mike Martin during a tour of the Greens Creek Mine in October 2010. Caroline Cave is the health and safety director and Mike Martin is the Mine Supervisor.
