Description:
A—B — 5 inches by 4 inches by 1.5 inches.
C—D — 6.25 inches by 5 inches by 2.25 inches.
Two pairs of bivalve shells. Rim is irregular, non—oval with dip on one end. Interior smooth except for small areas of rippled wear. Exterior brown and white.
Notes:
Common name used to be horse clam.
Donor's label reads: "HORSE CLAM — Schizothaerus nutalli; lies from 1 1/2 — 3 ft below surface. 6" to 8", may weigh 4#. Larger pair (c & d) labeled from Eagle Beach.
