Stadia Rod.
Twelve foot expanding stadia rod. Object consists of two rectangular pieces, mounted back to back in such a manner that the back rod will slide up the back of the front rod and thereby extend to its full 12 feet.

Rod is made from wood with brass screws and end plates. The face of the rod is painted white. On the white face is a scale that goes from 0 to 12 feet. The scale is painted on, with the foot measurements in red paint and the inch measurements in black paint.

A name plate on the top of the back leg says: "FREDERICK POST/DRAFTING MATERIALS * ENGINEERING SUPPLIES." Plate is made from metal and is afixed to the wooden rod with brass tacks at each corner. The plate also has a "POST" logo which is in red with white writing.
