Title:
Metal Beer Tap
Description:
A metal beer tap. It is composed of several pieces, some that can be disassembled and some that cannot. The top part is a threaded piece that has two handles on either side. It has a hole in the middle and can screw—off the tap assembly. Inside this top "bolt" piece is a washer type piece. This washer sits atop the tap shaft assembly but also then fits down into the the top part of the shaft where the shaft is larger. This washer stays in place by the top "bolt" which screws down into place over the tap shaft. Below the washer and top is the tap shaft which extends down, but also has a shaft that extends out perpendicular in the middle. This perpendicular shaft then has a screwed—in piece that tapers out into a thin hole. This tapered piece cannot be removed. The tap shaft extends down where ii interlocks some sort of metal gromet that interfaces with the keg. This interface gromet is tightened down by an exterior metal gromet that can be crewed down. When this occurs the keg is "tapped". These pieces while loose on the tap cannot be removed as the exterior gromet has been set in place by two rivets. There is also embossing on the outside of the tap. On the front is "ATL. Co." U.S.A." and three numbers, "599300", "655886" and "555450". On the outer gromet is reads, "Beer Tap" and on the other side, "Peerless". On the other side of the shaft is, "Pat. Nos.", "530703", "542063", "573867" and "573990".
