Painting shows 14 figures, three standing, 11 sitting or lying on green lawn. Green shrubs suggested in background. At center left, portion of bench is decorated in Northwest Coast Indian style black and red design. Wood frame with glass. CBJ Property #04569.
Inscription: "JIM FOWLER @79" in lower left corner in dark blue paint.
Notes:
Acquired by Juneau Centennial Committee. Painting shows park area adjacent to Juneau Memorial Library (now Juneau—Douglas City Museum) building. Site originally location of B.M. Behrends warehouse & later front lawn of Behrend's home (John Olds' home per MPW). People are real Juneau residents & include Rie Munoz, Jim Fowler, Trevor Davis among others.
