Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency" and watermark for Perfect Photo, Inc. at bottom right). The frame is labeled "Salmon Cr Dam July 1967" in handwriting. The image shows a semi—aerial view of a long curved cement dam cutting horizontally through the foreground and middling area. The curve creates a downward arc toward the lower left of the image. The foreground shows the vertical near side of the time and its textured concrete, with a mass of trees and shrubs below it, along with what looks like an overturned boat. Beyond the dam at left, there is a body of calm green water, and in the background, the slope of a steep mountain, thick with growth. Atop the dam at left, there seems to be some kind of vehicle. The number "17" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
