Great Outcrop on Perseverance Mine 018A
Numerous lode and placer claims were staked below the glacier on Mount Roberts early in October 1880. Richard Harris and Joe Juneau staked the "Alaska Chief" claim. Along with Aeta, Jumbo and the Perseverance, this group of claims formed the beginning of the great Perseverance mine.
