A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Black and white photo (no border) of two women standing on top of rocky mound with Mendenhall Glacier in background. Women are posing near center of photo; proper right figure dressed in long dark coat, proper left figure wears lighter checked coat. Handwritten caption to proper left of photo reads: "Nancy right" and below photo: "A great mass of ice with the same beautiful coloring of blues as Taku. The first part of Sept. Supt. and Mrs Philips invited all the teachers one Saturday out to their cabin on Auk Bay, the school bus driver, Mr Christensen took one of the school buses loaded with teachers. We had a good dinner, enjoyed meeting the teachers, on our way back Mr. Christensen drove out to this Glacier. We all walked up to the water's edge or edge of Glacier."

C — Black and white photo of Mendenhall Glacier. Ice fills most of upper 2/3 of photo, with water in lower proper right and land sloping down from proper left side. Several figures in foreground, at center of bottom edge of photo. Printed in white in lower proper left corner: "The Ice Cave, 35269 / Mendenhall Glacier Alaska (c) 29 Alaska Scenic Views".

D — Black and white photo of Taku Glacier. Glacier runs across center of photo, with mountain visible behind and slightly to proper right; sky along top of photo. Water in foreground with several icebergs. Handwritten caption above photo reads: "Taku Glacier. Sept. 15 — 1935" and below photo: "This view of Taku was taken with my kodak Sept. 15 — 1935, when we were taken by Rev. Woods and daughters in their motor boat, 'Messenger.' A three hour ride there."

E — Another black and white view of Taku Glacier. Glacier runs across 2/3 of photo's center, from proper right edge to foot of mountain that slopes down from upper proper left corner. Several icebergs floating in water in foreground. Printed in white across bottom of photo: "Taku Glacier and Ice Berg Alaska. Elite Studio. 532". Handwritten below photo: "This is said to be about two hundred feet high and two miles across. The coloring is very beautiful of deep blues shading into lighter color. Many hair seals were swimming around in the water. On our way back we saw some two miles from us whale blowing."
