Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Filipino Float 7/4/56" in handwriting. The image shows the float representing the Filipino Community, decorated richly with flowers and garlands of red, green, and white, with a woman in a yellow gown sitting atop it. Seen in frontal view, the float bears red text reading "1956." It is traveling toward the camera on an unknown street away from downtown Juneau. Mount Juneau and the Captiol building are visible in the distant background. Other floats follow behind the Filipino float. The number "15" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
