Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) tied to a wooden dock. The photograph is a view of the plane directly from the front and is zoomed in onto the nose. The ends of both wings are not visible. The aircraft has a nose propeller and two pontoons. A man is standing up in the cockpit of the plane. He is leaning on the top of the windshield with both hands. Only his upper body is visible. Cloud covered mountain and docks in the background. Verso has a stamped "10" in the upper proper right corner in blue ink. The man is Chandler Hicks.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
