Artist's Note:
Seracs tower above the surface of Mendenhall Lake, Mt. McGinnis and Mt. Stroller White in the distance. Mendenhall Glacier is a valley glacier or specifically a fresh water glacier because it is a valley glacier that terminates in a lake, Mendenhall Lake. The more familiar term, tidewater glacier, is reserved for those that end in marine environments. Canon EOS1Ds Mark 2, F 8, 1/400 sec, 42 mm, year:2007
