The image shows a section of a body of water, either the Young Bay or Gastineau Channel, in the foreground. A number of small leisure vessels are moored along what appears to be a pier painted green in the center of the image. A number of people are standing on the central pier. Behind them, a series of mountains loom in the sky at the right background. At the mountains' base, there are a number of small houses built into the hills at extreme right. The number "6" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
