Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "July 4 1957" in handwriting. The image shows a lateral view of the corner of Seward Street, with the stretch of First Street looking toward Franklin Street at the extreme left of the image. A large pickup truck draped in red, white, and blue bunting has turned onto Seward Street, carrying a number of people dressed indiscernably due to the blur in the image. The building at the far side of the street bears a Tlingit style textile hanging from its awning. Another truck is turning from First Street at the extreme left periphery. The number "11" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
