Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Queen Pats[sic] Float 7/4/55" in handwriting. The image shows a parade float traveling down an unknown street in Juneau. Captured from a diagonal, the left side of the float is visible, traveling toward the camera. Buildings are visible at left and toward the background, along with powerlines crossing the top of the image. The float itself is covered in white textile, with several women in gowns sitting atop it. One woman in a dark blue cape with gold trim about the neck, sits above them all. The number "4" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
