A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "4th July 1955" in handwriting. The image shows a parade float traveling down an unknown street in Juneau. Captured from a diagonal, the left side of the float is visible, traveling toward the camera. Buildings are visible at left and toward the background, along with powerlines crossing the top of the image. The float itself is colored in red, white, and blue, and staked with United States flags at every corner. The people atop it are dressed in early colonial American garb. The text on the side of the float reads "Lions for Freedom." The number "6" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
