Description:
Black and white photograph a float plane (sea plane) tied to a dock. Plane has a front propeller and two pontoons. Text on the aircraft's tail reads: "NC 336 H Petersburg". Text on the back end of the airplane's fuselage reads: "ALASKA—WASHINGTON \ AIRWAYS". The "AIR" of "AIRWAYS" is obscured by part of the plane's tail. There are five windows on the side of the plane. A wooden dock is in the foreground. Docks, the city of Juneau and tree covered mountains are in the background. A man is standing on the plane's right pontoon under the plane's right wing. He is wearing a dark colored suit. His hands are in his pockets. Verso is blank.

Photograph is of the plane "The Petersburg" and of its mechanic W.G.B. Harland in 1931.
